BREAKING: Nigeria’s inflation rate drops to 15.43%

Nigeria’s inflation dropped further to 15.43 percent in July 2026, down from 15.91 percent recorded in June.

The National Bureau of Statistics disclosed this in its Consumer Price Index and inflation report released on Monday.

This means the country’s headline inflation rate in July was 15.43 percent.

Similarly, food inflation was 5.56 percent on a month-on-month basis.

“In July 2026, the Headline inflation rate stood at 15.43 percent.

“On a month-on-month basis, the Headline inflation rate in July 2026 was 1.57%.

“The Food inflation rate in July 2026 was 5.56 percent on a month-on-month basis”, NBS stated on X.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee, in July, retained the country’s interest rate at 26.50 percent.
