Former Niger PDP Chairman Tanko Beji Defects To APC

Former Niger State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tanko Beji, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Niger State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) confirmed the development in a statement by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Musa Labaran, as it welcomed Beji into its fold.

Beji had reportedly taken a break from active politics last year after the party held its state congress.

The former chairman served two terms as PDP state chairman, including State Chairman, Legal Adviser, Secretary, Zonal Chairman, Director-General of a gubernatorial campaign, and Acting National Youth Leader.

The party described Beji’s defection to the APC as a significant development, noting that he brings extensive political and administrative experience that would contribute to the growth of the party and the development of Niger State.
