The management of Zenith Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Mr Kennedy Okwudili as an Executive Director, with the new role set to take effect from May 1, 2026.
The appointment was disclosed in a corporate filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Tuesday, where the bank revealed that the decision reflects its long-standing commitment to internal succession planning and leadership development.
According to the bank’s brief, Okwudili’s elevation is expected to further strengthen its executive management team and support its strategic growth objectives.
Okwudili holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Maiduguri, where he graduated in 1998 with a Second Class Upper Division. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University in 2008, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Veritas University Abuja in 2021.
With more than 25 years of experience in the banking sector, he has built expertise across key areas including credit, marketing, treasury, compliance, and operations.
He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and also holds associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
