US Military Invasion Threat: Dont confront Trump- Attahiru Bafarawa warns Tinubu

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against confrontation with his United States, US, counterpart, Donald Trump.

Bafarawa urged Tinubu to toll the path of dialogue in resolving the growing growing tension with Trump.

He was reacting to Trump’s threat of military invasion following reports of Christian genocide in Nigeria.

In a statement he signed, Bafarawa said dialogue is in the best interest of Nigeria to foster and strengthen its long-standing relationship.

He said: “I advise President Tinubu to shun confrontation and reach out to the American government to hear Nigeria’s version of the story.

“I call on all Nigerians to join hands together with President Tinubu to succeed because his failure is our failure, and his success is our success. He needs our collective support.”

The former governor charged Tinubu noted the concerns raised by the international communities on security and tackle the issue of insurgency and other criminalities.

Bafarawa urged Nigerians to support Tinubu in his efforts to reposition the country for good.
