In recent months, over 20 churches in Asaba have been (allegedly) broken into under the cover of night. Their sanctuaries looted. They come with trucks in the middle of the night to steal, kill and destroy. Their sound equipment (amplifiers, mixers, pianos, guitars, microphones, etc,) stolen! Hundreds of Millions of Naira gone. God’s house violated.

This Sunday morning, many of these churches won’t relish the beautiful soulful sounds that accompany worship.

Yet the city is quiet.
The Church is silent.
The media sleeps.
The government blinks ( the governor is a respected Elder of the Church)
The police whisper (Security officers or uniformed men?)

And the people? We act like lambs being led to the slaughter. We speak in hushed tones…

Are we so used to injustice that we no longer react? Or have we become so religious that we no longer fight for what is right? Let it be known: prayer without action is spiritual negligence.

We must not keep silent just because a church board chooses to say “let’s leave it to God.”
This is not just an attack on property. It is an attack on our voice, our worship, our presence.

TO EVERY CHRISTIAN IN ASABA, NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP.
Flood your social media with this reality.
Let your neighbours know.
Let your Priests & Pastors know.
Let your communities know. The Asagba must hear this.
Let the cities around Delta (Edo, Anambara, Kogi, Lagos, Imo, etc) know.
Let your silence not make you guilty by association.
Encourage members to report suspicious sales of equipment

If you, your business or your church recently bought a second-hand amplifier, keyboard, guitar or mixer (and more including: Computers or Workstations; Video Cameras; Video Switchers / Live Stream Mixers; Streaming Devices / Encoders, Lighting Kits, etç) — ask questions. You may be handling holy equipment desecrated by theft. If you plan to buy, then be on the alert. Let’s Break the cycle.

Today it’s the Church.
Tomorrow, it may be recording studios.
Then, radio stations.
Next, event centres.
We are dealing with organized criminal operations that see no sacred line.
If you do not shout today, you will be forced to scream tomorrow.

In the era of the Militant Church, Christian knights (Templars, Hospitallers, Teutonic Knights) rose to defend the Church from desecration. They fought not just for land, but for honor, sanctity, and the voice of the Church.

Today, we don’t carry swords, we carry truth, vigilance, and a voice that refuses to be silenced.
Let the Church rise again like in the days of the militant Knights, not with swords, but with courage, truth, and unity.

It is time to defend the house of God and to defend the soul of this city.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion…” – 1 Peter 5:8
