Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the suspended Kogi Central Senator, has arrived at the National Assembly complex to resume her duties, despite warnings by the management not to do so.

Security was earlier beefed up at the National following the lawmaker’s insistence on returning to her duties on Tuesday, July 22.

In a recent judgment, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court had asked the Senate to recall Natasha, justifying her position but in a statement on Sunday, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Yemi Adaramodu, dismissed the High Court’s position, insisting it was an advisory opinion and not a compulsory directive to the upper legislative chamber.

At about 1pm Tuesday, Senator Akpoti- Uduaghan, arrived at the National Assembly complex, where hundreds of her supporters had converged awaiting her arrival.
