Free train rides on the Abuja Rail metro rail line has been extended to December 2024.
President Tinubu made the announcement during the launch of the rail line on Wednesday in Abuja
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike had announced free rides on the Metro Rail for two months but the Presdent in an address at the inauguration of operations by the rail line, approved the extension to December.
The President said, “Our dear landlord and his team, I heard you saying two months free ride. I appeal to you to make it till the end of the year.
“Since today you’re not going to charge me, that will give the people hope and reasons to celebrate,” Tinubu said.
