Dangote Refinery has increased its gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit amid soaring global crude oil prices, following threats by United States President Donald Trump to destroy Iran.

On Tuesday, Dangote refinery raised its petrol price to N1,175 per liter up from N1,200, raising its gantry by N25 percent.

Recall that, Aliko Dangote, the president of Dangote Refinery, assured Nigerians and Africans of maximum and sufficient petrol supply despite the disruption caused by the Iran-United States-Israel war, saying what I can do is assure Nigerians and most of West Africa, Central Africa, and East Africa that we have the capacity to supply them,” he said during a tour of the plant.

The refinery had reduced its gantry price as the global oil price dropped but Trump’s threats of wiping out a whole civilization in deference to Iran triggered the recent surge in prices.
