The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, has emerged the new APC National Chairman.
Yilwatda’s appointment was confirmed on Thursday, during the NEC meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja on Thursday.
He will replace Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned from the position last month over health issues.
The Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, assumed office in an acting capacity after Ganduje stepped down.
Stakeholders had hoped that the APC NEC will ratify Dalori’s position, however, the party has chosen to appoint a substansive chairman to head the affairs of the party.
